Construction Firms Fined by OFT for Illegal Bid-rigging
The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) fined the construction industry £129.5 million for bid-rigging between companies tendering for public sector building contracts. The fine, which follows a four year inquiry, sees a total of 103 companies fined for engaging in ‘illegal anti-competitive bid-rigging activities’ on tenders between 2000 and 2006 worth £200 million.
